After a Layoff Take Your Time
After experiencing a layoff one of the biggest mistakes anyone can make is to take the first job they are offered. Everyone going through a layoff right now should definitely begin looking for another job but be patient with your job choices. You don’t want to make the same mistake or a worse mistake by taking any job. This may be a good time to reassess your career and make a change for something else.
One of the best things anyone can do is to take a career assessment test. You want to take away from your previous job all the skills you learned and hopefully see if they can open up a new career for you. If you were a trainer maybe you want to take up some college courses and become a professor or teacher. It all depends on what you enjoy and are willing to do
